Marc Lesage
Canadian sociologist, born in Trois-Rivières (Quebec) on February 20, 1948, Marc Lesage is a professor at Glendon campus - York University in Toronto.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=GLENDON )〕 == Biography == Marc Lesage studied Classics at the Franciscain College of Trois-Rivières (Séminaire Saint-Antoine) before studying sociology at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) in the early 1970s. He completed a Masters of Sociology between 1983 and 1985 at Concordia University (Montreal), where he also received his PhD in Humanities in 1995 under the direction of (Hubert Guindon ) (1929–2002). As union advisor for the Confédération des syndicats nationaux (CSN) in Quebec City (1975–1978), and Montreal (1978–1983), he collaborated on the drafting of many documents. Since 1991, Marc Lesage has taught at the Glendon campus of York University, where he is an Associate Professor of Sociology. He is the author of several works, including Les vagabonds du rêve (1986) and Microcité (1997). He also produced the documentary film by Philippe Lesage, Pourrons-nous vivre ensemble (2006), about the 2005 urban violence in France, with the participation of Alain Touraine.
